Abstract

An optical fiber sensor for the measurement of pressure is presented and experimentally characterized. The sensor, produced by additive manufacturing, converts pressure variations into strain along a fiber Bragg grating, and reaches the remarkable sensitivity of 25 pm/mbar at 1550 nm.
