Abstract
A very intriguing idea in the field of ultrafast phenomena is the selective laser chemistry proposed by Rice and Tannor[1]. According to their scheme the molecule is firstly excited by a very short laser pulse to an upper level. The molecule moves on the excited potential surface until it is shot down into the planned position by a well timed second short pulse.
