Abstract

A diode-pumped Tm:GdVO₄ laser operating on the ³H₄ →·³H₅ transition generated 6.09 W at 2.29 μm with 30.8% slope efficiency and linear polarization (π). The polarized spectroscopic properties of Tm³⁺ ions in GdVO₄ were also revised.
